About the Project

Food & The Universe is a short documentary created for Potato Head that explores the spiritual and cultural relationship between Balinese cuisine and the natural world. The film captures a rare and intimate experience inside the Ubud King’s palace private kitchen, where food is prepared not only as nourishment, but as a ritual deeply connected to the universe. Through this story, the project reveals how ingredients, tradition, and belief are inseparable in Balinese culture.
